When they sat their GCSE exams, never in their wildest dreams did Paul, Tom, Kieran and Jack imagine that a few years later they’d be in Bangkok, Thailand.
Each of the LLS sixth form graduates have spent this academic year teaching PE and coaching football to children in Colombo, Sri Lanka at the TAFA Academy, but this was the highlight they’d all been working towards.
The BSS International Tournament in Bangkok sees the very best academies from across Asia come together to take part in a 2-day football event. Competing against the TAFA teams were sides from Hong Kong, Singapore, China and of course Thailand; what better way for our young coaches to put their coaching skills to the test…

Squad goals. The coaches prepare for action!

Each of our graduates above completed the LLS Professional Coaching course which enabled them to add some fantastic qualifications and work experience to their CVs. Like most passionate young coaches around the world they’re keen to create a learning environment which encourages children to be creative and show their skills; 9 year old Ethan certainly looks to be taking full advantage of this coaching philosophy.

LLS would like to congratulate coach Paul on taking his TAFA Under 12 side through to the finals and wish Kieran’s (U10) and Tom’s (U8) sides the best of luck in next year’s tournament.
It's all smiles

It’s all smiles as the tournament comes to a close.

We would like to thank TAFA founder Thaabit Ahmed for creating some life changing opportunities for our sixth form students and look forward to sending 4 more graduates to Sri Lanka this summer.
If you’re aged 16 – 19 and passionate about sport, LLS are still accepting applications for our September 2017 intake with places available in England, Wales, Ireland and Qatar. Simply email yourfuture@llsonline.uk to learn where the course could take you!
