Sixth Form Courses
When you’ve decided to study sport and want to keep your future career options open, this could be the course for you. You’ll learn everything from physiology and anatomy to nutrition and fitness testing. The only decision you’ll be left to make is your next career move or whether you’ll go to university.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development
There are seven mandatory units, all of which are internally assessed. Learners must achieve a Pass or above in all mandatory units.
Learners must complete at least five optional units.
Hours of Study
Average = 15 per week
You will be expected to achieve 5 GCSE’s ideally to include PE (or BTEC sport) and English.
If your aim is to work with children, coach in an elite setting or work at senior level, this course will give you everything you need to kick-start your journey. This practical based course provides you with a variety of weekly work experience and access to professional settings.

Hours of Study
Average = 14 per week
You will be expected to pass an interview and attend a series of enrolment events. If a GCSE grade 4 is not achieved in English or maths, resit lessons will be built into your timetable.
Could playing football at a high level be what you’re destined to do? This course enables you to train, compete, recover and analyse your development alongside your sixth form studies with LLS. You’ll be taught by qualified teachers and trained by UEFA licensed coaches.
